The Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Stuttgart (Duale Hochschule Baden-Wuerttemberg Stuttgart, DHBW Stuttgart) is one of the largest universities in the Stuttgart and Upper Neckar regions: Currently around 8,800 students are enrolled in our study programmes. DHBW Stuttgart with its campus in Horb, is the largest of nine locations of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW). In cooperation with about 2,500 carefully selected enterprises and social institutions, the corporate (or dual) partners of the DHBW Stuttgart, the Schools of Business, Engineering and Social Work offer more than 40 nationally and internationally approved Bachelor study programmes. Their most important feature is the integration of theory and practical experience: Students regularly switch between theoretical phases at the university and practical phases at the work placement. In addition DHBW Stuttgart offers postgraduate Master programmes with on-the-job training. The cooperative degree programme is designed according to the real requirements of the labour market, as well as businesses and / or social institutions, and guarantees a unique combination of theory and practical work. The former Baden-Wuerttemberg Berufsakademie, now the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University, is nationally and internationally recognised and accredited as university offering an extremely high quality of education, reflected in an average retention rate of around 80 percent of its graduates. DHBW Stuttgart is one of nine locations of Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW).
